“Growing a garden is empowering . . . just by the process of planting a seed and watching it grow.  No matter who you are it makes a person richer, deeper, and more understanding of all the cycles of the universe as well as your relationship to them.  We need to grow gardens, and each of us need to help others grow them.”  This is a concept that is well known by any one who digs into the earth to plant a seed, bulb, or plant.  The concept of the ‘proper plant in the proper place’ encourages the use of native plant species that are naturally growing in the area to reduce water consumption, chemical use and the need for high levels of fertilizer, which can be detrimental to local water supply and local lakes and streams.  Native plants are beautiful; this company will show the consumer how beautiful they are and how they can be added to Gulf Coast gardens.

· Gift Shop – the gift shop will feature lines for the earth conscious gardener.  Books, magazines, and classes will be offered to encourage customers to think “out of the box” when they are confronted with disease and insect damage in their gardens.  Customer satisfaction and loyalty will result when the customer has a positive experience to new concepts.

· Art Gallery – the art gallery concept will be integrated with other products the business offers.  A commission from the artist and sharing of advertising costs will be required from the potential artists.  The business will form goodwill with the local artists while providing its customers with original unique art that would otherwise not be provided to them by the business.
